Restorative rest & yoga nidra
Are you feeling depleted?
Perhaps you’re recovering from or in the depths of burnout…
The world might be exhausting you, or creating fear…
You might have noticed your body calling for deep, restorative rest but not knowing how to implement this…
If this is you, you are not alone. Join us as we explore restorative rest, meditative practices and gentle somatic exercises to nourish the nervous system and soothe our hearts.

what is restorative rest?
In a world that values productivity and action, it can be hard to know what real rest looks and feels like.
Sometimes we think we are resting, but the mind and body are stuck in high alert mode, despite trying to relax and ‘switch off’.
This is where this class comes in! It will provide effective ways to move towards rest that is (actually) nourishing for your nervous system.
Somatic practices, meditation and yoga nidra were incredibly important in my own recovery from chronic illness and burnout. I will share a variety of practices each week so that you can have the opportunity to experience and explore what replenishes you.
Who is this class for?
This class helps you reconnect with yourself, with others, your breath, and your body - just as you are.
Everyone is welcome.
It will be a seated class, ending with yoga nidra (or "yogic sleep"), which is best done lying down. You can choose to sit in bed, on a chair, or the floor, whatever feels most comfortable.
This class is suitable for those recovering from illness or injury, burnout, compassion fatigue, or just the stresses of life.
